4 times in Rome – not enough…

admin / February 3, 2018

My love for Rome started 5 years ago, during my honeymoon. It was a journey full of first times: my first flight with a plane, first steps on the ancient ground, first encounter with deep history and roots of our religion. Since then I came back to Rome three more times. On one side, it was like coming home, but on the other side, each return to Rome was full of new experience. I collected my experience here to provide you useful information, what is necessary to visit on your first trip to Rome, and what will amaze you on…

Snorkeling in the Red Sea

admin / January 7, 2018

Last year in the mid November, I’ve got a chance to visit Egypt for the first time. The most visited Egypt resorts are along the beautiful Red Sea, which is known for it’s magnificent underwater world great for snorkeling. It’s a paradise for divers, and also snorkelers like myself. Of course I’m a really bad swimmer, that’s why I choose to snorkel “around the shores” and in really salty waters (Mediterranean, Red Seas). We stayed in Hurghada, and one day of our vacation we took a snorkeling boat tour. We bought the tour from the guy that was advertising the…

New Year without fireworks…

admin / December 20, 2017

As we are counting the last weeks of 2017, I remembered how I’ve celebrated the last New Year. The festivities that marked the beginning of this wonderful year full of new experiences, beautiful cities and growing hunger for more travels. I’ve met the New Year of 2017 in Kiev, Ukraine. The flight of 58 minutes, and here we were, the city started to amaze us from the sky – wonderful golden roofs of Pechersk Lavra, the huge metal statue “Monument of Motherland” pointing her hands to the sky. We came to Kiev on the 31st of December in the late afternoon.…

48 hours in Stockholm. Part 2.

admin / November 21, 2017

The first part of my weekend escape to Sweden’s capital Stockholm is here. Our day 2 started with a visit to Stockholm’s no. 1 museum – Vasa museum. The whole museum is dedicated to Swedish ship, which drowned in the beginning of it’s first journey. Destroyed by a wind gust… The quided tour is essential in this museum, because there are lots of interesting facts and background stories covering the history of building this ship. The ship was built in XVII century, and almost 95 percent of the ship seen today is original. The ship is massive, that id doesn’t…

48 hours in Stockholm. Part 1.

admin / November 21, 2017

Stockholm is an amazing city. Expensive – yes, but it’s one of the best destinations for a weekend escape. 48 hours in Stockholm is not enough to explore this Scandinavian gem, but there is plenty to visit in this short period of time. I’ve got a great present for my 29 year birthday – plane tickets to Stockholm. My husband was working there at that time, so it was a great chance to visit him and explore a new city. So here I was after 4 hour ride to Riga airport and 50 minute flight, when the plane just takes off…

Greece can be reached by car

admin / November 1, 2017

And here we were, with no plan in Greece. After almost two days of driving, we’re here in Halkidiki. The nearest peninsula was Kassandra, with it’s beautiful resort Sani, luxury villas and wild beaches. Stunning views. Wandering through the pine forests of Kassandra, on top of the hill we found a cozy place to eat – Metoxi restaurant, where we had our first greek souvlaki and frappe. The wi-fi in Greece is wonderful and you can use it in any restaurant or cafeteria for free. This is how we found our first place to stay – Iris apartments in the…
